Chevy Chase’s Campaign with Raising Cane’s

Chevy Chase was featured in a national campaign for Raising Cane’s, playing off his Iconic Character Clark Griswold in a “Christmas Vacation” campaign. Chase was featured in a commercial with Raising Cane’s Founder, Todd Graves, as well as on menus and point-of-sales displays on over 400 Raising Cane’s locations. On November 29, 2022, close to 5,000 fans showed up for a Christmas Vacation themed lighting event and commercial shoot at the flagship location in Chicago.

A video shared by the restaurant chain shows Graves introducing Chase to the crowd as the actor holds a pair of extension cords. “Drumroll, please,” Chase says as he plugs in the cords. Of course, the lights don’t work, but like in the film, the display lights up on the second try. Chase and Graves then drove away in a replica of the Griswold family’s iconic wood-paneled station wagon, complete with a Christmas tree strapped on top.

Raising Canes was founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1996.  This restaurant was founded on dedication and going above and beyond what was needed to be done in order to succeed.  Todd Graves, the founder, was told numerous times that his idea would not work but he never gave in.  Raising Cane’s has not only proved the doubters wrong but it has expanded nation wide with over 300 restaurants across the country.
