HORRY

Robert Horry has won seven NBA Championships with the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs. Robert was selected 11th overall in the 1992 NBA Draft by the Rockets and made an immediate impact on the court. The small forward helped Houston to two NBA championship victories in 1994 and 1995 and setting an individual NBA Finals record with seven steals in on game. In 1996, Robert joined the Phoenix Suns for one season before moving to Los Angeles to play for the Lakers. Robert was a Laker for six seasons from 1997 to 2003 during which time he helped the team to three consecutive NBA Championships in 2000, 2001 and 2002. Robert signed with the Spurs in 2003 where he remained until his retirement in 2008. The Maryland native would go on to win two more NBA championships in 2005 and 2007 for the Spurs.

Before going pro, Robert played basketball at the University of Alabama. He started 108 of 133 games he played in and led the Crimson Tide to three SEC Tournament titles and two berths in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA National Championship Tournament. Robert set a school record for career blocked shots with 282 and was selected to the All-Southeastern Conference, the SEC All-Defensive and the SEC All-Academic teams.

Robert is one of only nine players to have seven or more NBA Championships and one of only three to win consecutive NBA Championships with two different teams. He is the all-time leader in playoff games played with 244 and he holds the record for all-time three-pointers in the NBA Finals with 53. Robert was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.
